Fresh Galician Mussels

Origin: Galicia, Spain.

Available size: 35-40 pieces/kg.

Galician mussels were the first seafood to have a seal of quality. This is due to its characteristic color and most importantly, it has a high quality meat that hardly diminishes in size when cooked.

Galician mussels should be consumed as soon as possible. In the refrigerator, they will last 2 days wrapped in a cloth soaked in salted water to keep them alive. You can also cook them and, once cold, store them in the refrigerator in the tray furthest from the freezer.

Regarding the nutritional contribution of Galician mussels, if consumed in moderation, it provides a higher percentage of minerals than other meats, as well as a low caloric content and B vitamins.
