The White Tuna (Thunnus alalunga) is the most prized for its texture and flavor. Its size ranges from 30cm to one meter in length, and it weighs between 10 and 15 kilos. It has a long central fin up to two thirds of its size, which gives it the characteristic name of alalunga.

Ortiz White Tuna Marmitako 300gr
The white tuna is the protagonist in seafood cooking. For the Marmitako, we mix the potato and green bell pepper with a stir-fry, to finally add the white tuna. In the other two recipes, Bonito encebollado or Bonito with tomato, we achieve a perfect mix between the white tuna, lightly battered, and a tasty sauce. The result is always a juicy dish with a homemade flavor.
Serving suggestions: When serving, we recommend heating it in a bain-marie in its closed bag in a pan of boiling water for 3-4 minutes. It can also be heated in the microwave for 2 minutes, pouring the contents of the bag on a plate.
